Stiletto heels are a ride all unto themselves!  So naturally I had to make one into an amusement park shoe.  This shoe is called Water Park Shoe.  Generic, I know, but I'd rather be safe than risk a trademark infraction.

I bought this shoe and did the paper mache work months ago.  Then I stared at it and thought about it.  And then stared and thought some more.  I knew I wanted it to represent a water park, but how to pull it off took some noodling (hubby's term for contemplation!).  I finally decided to just jump in whole hog and work it out as I went.  The only things I definitely knew I wanted were a pool, slides and water tubes.  So I started with the pool and designed my park from there.  I will say it was a lot of fun designing my own water park.  Made me crave a trip to the local Water Country USA water park!

It's hard to pick a favorite feature but I really love the ice cream shop.  Maybe it's because it reminds me on one back in West Virginia that looks just like an ice cream cone.  We stopped there a few years back.  How could anyone resist and ice cream cone building?  Well, the building was cool but the ice cream not so much.  I guess I'm not the only one who felt that way as it has now been torn down.

I have more amusement park ideas to explore.  The other stiletto shoe is now in the "staring and noodling" stage.  I might do another water park with different rides.  Or maybe not.  We'll just have to wait and see!

If you're interested in a closer look I have a video that showcases this Water Park Shoe.
